Sunny climes tempt Larsson

Graeme Souness has revealed how Henrik Larsson turned down a move to Blackburn – because of the weather.

Seven years in Glasgow with Celtic has apparently left the Swedish hitman craving a move to a hot climate and that has ruled out any chance of a switch to Lancashire.

Larsson will quit the Hoops following his benefit match against Seville tomorrow night and has still to decide where he will be playing his football next season.

Souness told the Express: “It would have been a fantastic signing for us. But Henrik told me he wanted to go somewhere where it was sunny.”
