Rochdale boss Steve Parkin has signed a rolling contract after arriving at Spotland in January and saving the club from relegation.

Following Alan Buckley’s sacking, Parkin returned to Dale for his second spell with the club and achieved his remit of retaining their Football League status.

Parkin told the club’s official website, www.rochdaleafc.co.uk: “There’s one way to do things and there’s the Rochdale way.

“Things seem to take a while but I’m pleased to say we have finalised the deal and I’ve put pen to paper.

“Thankfully now it’s sorted and we can knuckle down and sign some players.”
