O'Neill keen for Mjallby to stay
Celtic manager Martin O’Neill has revealed that Johan Mjallby does have a Parkhead future – if he wants one.
The Sweden international, who has been named in the squad for the Euro 2004 finals, had feared his time in Glasgow was over.
Injury had limited the final season of his current deal to just 18 appearances and he admitted he was worried a new offer might not be forthcoming.
But O’Neill revealed there was now one on the table, although he admitted other clubs might still top it.
He said: “Johan has been offered something. He is going to Euro 2004 but I think he can do an extra year here.
“I think he will receive other offers after Portugal and he will have to consider them.”
