Drama at last in UEFA final

Marseille goalkeeper Fabien Barthez was sent off as Valencia seized control of an otherwise dull and cautious UEFA Cup final in Gothenburg.

The former Manchester United stopper brought down Mista on the stroke of half-time and was immediately dismissed by referee Pierluigi Collina.
