Ole agent denies Celtic link

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s agent has insisted the Norwegian striker will not be leaving Manchester United for Celtic this summer.

Solskjaer has been linked with a £3m (€4.5m) close-season move to the Scottish champions after an injury-hit campaign has seen him make just 17 appearances for United.

Bhoys boss Martin O’Neill admitted last night that he was an admirer of the 30-year-old, who scored the injury-time winner that saw United crowned European Cup winners in 1999, but that no contact between the clubs has been made.

And Solskjaer’s agent Jim Solbakken has indicated that even if Celtic did make a move, the forward wouldn’t be interested.

“It’s just nonsense,” Solbakken told Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet.

“He has been linked with Celtic before. We denied it then and we deny it now.

“We have heard nothing and I don’t want to bother talking about it anymore.”
