Gray has Elland Road future - managing director
Leeds caretaker manager Eddie Gray has been assured he has “a good future” at Elland Road following the club’s relegation to the Football League.
It could be up to 10 days before Gray, a hero of the great Leeds teams of the 1970s, discovers what his role might be but managing director David Richmond has no doubts that the club needs to retain the Scot’s services.
“This week I’ll be spending a couple of days with Eddie,” Richmond told the Yorkshire Post.
“We’ll be going through in detail what he feels is wrong with this club. I’ll report back to the board and then the board will decide if Eddie is going to be manager next season.
“I’m 40 and Eddie Gray has been at Leeds longer than I’ve been alive. He is Mr Leeds United so Eddie has a future here and a good one.”
