Scholes given hearing date

Paul Scholes will face a Football Association disciplinary panel on Monday hoping to avoid a three-match ban that could severely disrupt his preparations for the FA Cup Final.

Scholes, who played the full 90 minutes in Manchester United’s 1-0 win over Leicester last night, must answer the violent conduct charge brought against him by the FA for his attack on Middlesbrough’s Dorivo during the home Premiership encounter with the Teessiders on February 11.
