Bobby Robson threw a fatherly arm around 18-year-old defender Steven Taylor after Newcastle lost their way in the race for a Champions League place.

Four minutes into his full debut the full back was muscled out of it by Henrik Pedersen, who went to score the crucial goal in Bolton’s 1-0 victory.
