Tony Bird was St Pat’s matchwinner as Drogheda slumped to a second defeat of the season on boss Paul Doolin’s 41st birthday.

Drogheda failed to make much of their possession in the first half as St. Pat’s went in deservedly 1-0 up at the interval.

The goal came in the first minute of stoppage time as Tony Bird made amends for an earlier miss.

Keith Fahey dinked a super ball through and the Welshman drilled his shot past Tony O’Dowd for what proved the winner.
