Owen set to miss Foxes trip

Michael Owen could miss Liverpool’s Premiership trip to Leicester on Sunday after limping out of the UEFA Cup defeat against Marseille with a tight hamstring.

Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier predicted that Owen could also miss Wednesday’s England friendly in Sweden.

Liverpool are still without Vladimir Smicer (Achilles), Chris Kirkland (broken wrist), Salif Diao (calf), Anthony Le Tallec (ankle), Steve Finnan (shoulder) and John Welsh (foot).

Milan Baros is expected to return up front while Bruno Cheyrou could come into the midfield.
