Leicester City captain Matt Elliott has joined First Division play-off hopefuls Ipswich in a one-month loan deal.

The central defender has made just three starting appearances for the Foxes this season and has not featured since the 5-0 defeat at home to Aston Villa on January 31.

Elliott, who was unused substitute for Saturday’s 1-0 win at Birmingham, agreed the move over the weekend and is expected to go straight into the Ipswich squad for tomorrow’s trip to Walsall.
