Upson wants central move

Birmingham defender Matthew Upson admits playing at centre-half is vital if he is to secure a place in the England squad for Euro 2004.

Upson has been happy to help Blues out of an injury crisis by playing at left-back since returning to fitness himself after an ankle problem.
