Athlone sign Murphy from Longford

Athlone Town Football Club has signed Adrian Murphy from Longford Town.

Playing mainly with Longford's Youths and Under-21's, Murphy made a number of first team appearances, scoring against Shamrock Rovers in the final game of the 2002/03 season.

He will most likely make his debut in the friendly against Midlands Senior League side Portlaoise AFC this Thursday night.

Adrian joins Tom Silke, Niall Donnelly, Graham O'Keefe and Shane O'Brien on manager Aaron Callaghan's new acquisitions list.
