Injury problems for Ranieri
Claudio Ranieri has a double injury problem before Chelsea take on VfB Stuttgart tomorrow night bidding to clinch their place in the last eight of the Champions League.
Blues boss Ranieri, whose side hold a 1-0 advantage from the first leg in Germany a fortnight ago, must decide whether to risk Damien Duff and Adrian Mutu in the big match.
Irish winger Duff has yet to start a game this year after shoulder and Achilles injuries and admits the latter is still troubling him.
Striker Mutu missed his side’s last game – the 1-0 victory at Manchester City nine days ago – with a hip injury and Ranieri admits the Romanian is not fully fit.
Long-term casualties Juan Sebastian Veron, Emmanuel Petit and Mario Stanic are all still sidelined.
