Rangers slump to defeat at Dundee United

First-half goals from Mark Kerr and Andy McLaren earned Dundee United their first win over Rangers in almost three years.

Mark Kerr fired United into the lead in the 31st minute when he crashed in a shot off the bar after a cross from Andy McLaren from the right had been cleared only as far as the ex-Falkirk man on the edge of the box.

And three minutes later McLaren made it 2-0 by heading in a Barry Robson corner to the far post from embarrassingly close range as far as the Rangers defence was concerned.
