Arsenal took a mighty step towards the Barclaycard Premiership title as they extended their unbeaten run with a 2-1 defeat of Charlton while Manchester United were held a Fulham.

The victory stretched the Gunners’ lead at the top of the table to nine points with 11 games left to play.
