Ferguson backs Winter break

Alex Ferguson has welcomed the introduction of a winter break to the Premiership next season.

The Manchester United boss is a long-time advocate of a mid-season rest to recharge the batteries and last month took his team off to Dubai for five days to catch some much-needed sunshine.
