One separates United and Southampton at half-time

One goal separates Manchester United and Southampton in today's lunchtime premiership clash.

Their two goals cheered United - as did the demonstration of fans' support for manager Alex Ferguson.

The cheers for Ferguson were long and loud as he made his way to the dug-out and he was afforded a standing ovation from a capacity crowd five minutes into the game.
