Larsson lampoons quit rumours
Henrik Larsson has rubbished reports of his impending departure to Newcastle or Barcelona.
The Swede was linked with a summer switch to Tyneside and Catalonia in several newspapers over the weekend.
But Larsson has moved to clarify his position at Celtic, and underline that neither he nor his agent has spoken to anyone about leaving Parkhead.
He told Icons.com: "It's funny how some reports over the weekend had me signing for Newcastle and others for Barcelona, when the only thing on my mind was the game against Hearts.
"The simple fact is that absolutely nothing has changed in my situation. I haven't signed anything with anybody, I haven't even spoken to anybody about a move anywhere and neither has my agent. I'm not sure where any of these stories come from, but their authors really should check their sources first."
Larsson added: I've said it before and I'll say it again, I don't know what might happen in the future.
"To some extent that is out of my control because you simply don't know what might happen if an offer is made, and what might be best for Celtic. But right now I'm simply concentrating on helping Celtic get the right results."
