UCD manager Pete Mahon has moved to bolster his squad ahead of the start of the First Division season in April by bringing in highly-rated young striker Willie Doyle, 19, from Premier Division runners-up Bohemians.

It is a first signing for Mahon who has already lost Alan Cawley to champions Shelbourne, striker Mark Rooney to Drogheda and winger John Martin may also be poised to join FAI Cup winners Longford Town before the season begins in April.

Striker Robbie Griffin, joint top scorer for the Belfield club last season with four goals, has surprisingly been released along with Sean Finn.
