Blackburn have made Aston Villa an offer to buy goalkeeper Peter Enckelman, whose loan spell at Ewood Park runs out tonight.

Rovers are keen to sign the Finn as permanent cover for Brad Friedel but it is unlikely a deal will be done in time for Enckelman to be included in the squad for tomorrow’s FA Cup match at Birmingham.
