Spurs duo doubtful

Midfielders Darren Anderton and Stephane Dalmat both face fitness tests as Tottenham boss David Pleat considers his options for his side’s Boxing Day trip to Portsmouth.

Anderton sustained a calf injury against Manchester United last weekend, while Dalmat also suffered a knock, so Gus Poyet and Rohan Ricketts are on standby.

Stephen Carr’s one-match suspension does not begin until the following game, while Christian Ziege, Simon Davies, Bobby Zamora and Jamie Redknapp are still ruled out through injury.
