Celtic bid for Healy compensation fails

Sunderland have been boosted by the news that they will not have to pay up to £500,000 (€710,000) in compensation for Irish international midfielder Colin Healy.

The Black Cats were stunned when the Corkman’s former club Celtic attempted to enforce International Football League Board rules after the 23-year-old headed for Wearside following the expiry of his contract during the summer.
