Rivaldo has finally parted company with AC Milan after the pair came to a “mutual agreement” to officially cancel his contract.

The Brazilian World Cup winner, who has been linked with big-spending Premiership leaders Chelsea and Liverpool, is now a free agent and can sign for any club.

The 31-year-old joined Milan from Barcelona in June last year but struggled to hold down a first-team place.
