Monaco proceed despite draw with PSV

Monaco are through to the last 16 of the Champions League after a 1-1 draw with PSV Eindhoven at the Stade Louis II.

The Group C leaders only needed to avoid defeat to progress and a 34th minute Fernando Morientes goal saw the French Ligue leaders take the lead.

However, a second-half goal by Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink five minutes from time secured the draw the French side needed.
