Boro boss backs Queudrue

Middlesbrough boss Steve McClaren will defend Frenchman Franck Queudrue when he appears before FA disciplinary chiefs to answer a charge of using violent behaviour.

The full-back is due to attend a hearing on Monday after being charged on video evidence following a clash with Southampton striker Kevin Phillips during Boro’s 1-0 win at the St Mary’s Stadium on September 27.
