Molloy rescues Rovers at UCD

Trevor Molloy rescued a point for Rovers with a late equaliser.

Molloy turned well to shoot home a James Keddy pass beyond Patrick Jennings from 15 yards.

Bottom of the table UCD had taken the lead just six minutes earlier when Gavin Whelan drilled a low shot past Tony O'Dowd from Alan Gallen's pass.

Rovers ran the first half of a very poor game, but created only one clear chance a minute before the break.

It fell to Tony Grant after good work by Samir Boughanem and Steven Gough.

But Jennings touched the striker's deflected shot from a tight angle round a post.
