Bowyer misses West Brom clash

Newcastle United midfielder Lee Bowyer is out of tomorrow’s Carling Cup tie with West Bromwich Albion at St James’ Park.

The United midfielder was sent home from training yesterday after going down with a flu bug and when he did not report today, Sir Bobby Robson immediately ruled him out of the third round tie.
