Bohs close the gap on Shelbourne

A Dave Morrison goal after 16 minutes was enough for Bohemians to close the gap on Shelbourne to five points as they beat UCD 1-0 at Belfield Park.

Morrison stooped to head home a Robbie Doyle free kick from six yards for what turned out to be only goal of a tough battle played in terrible conditions.

Bohemians had the better of the chances with Doyle, Colin Hawkins, Glen Crowe and Paul Keegan all going close while UCD rarely threatened.

And the students finished the game with ten men after Alan Cawley was sent off in the final minute for a foul on Bobby Ryan.
