Manchester United is seeking an injunction to stop a Sunday newspaper printing extracts from a book by its former head of security.

Ex-SAS man Michael Kelly left the football club last year following allegations he was touting tickets.

He has spent the last year completing his memoirs of his 12 years at United.

A Sunday newspaper was due to print extracts from Manchester United The Untold Story tomorrow.

But the serialisation has been withheld pending the outcome of a High Court hearing next week.

A Manchester United spokesman said: "We are seeking an injunction on the grounds of breach of contract."

Publishers Michael O'Mara Books claim Kelly's book will be one of the most controversial ever written about Manchester United.
