Blues repeat Rooney denial

Chelsea have found it necessary to issue a second denial that they intend bidding to buy Everton’s Wayne Rooney after Stamford Bridge acting chief executive Paul Smith said on radio that the teenager “could be on their list”.

Chelsea were quick to deny, on their official website, that Rooney is a transfer target when speculation saying just that appeared earlier this week.
