St Pat's will meet Longford Town in the final of the FAI Cup after this absolute thriller before a packed Richmond Park.
There was no let up right from the off when St. Pats' took the lead within 80 seconds after Ken Oman headed Keith Fahey's free kick past his own keeper, Shay Kelly.
Bohs responded to level from a stunning 30-yard strike by Thomas Heary on 14 minutes.
Bohs had the better of the second half and went in front on 69 minutes.
Colin Hawkins's long free kick put Robbie Doyle through and he chipped over Adamson.
But St. Pat's hit back within eight minute to equalise. Fahey's corner wasn' t dealt with and substitute Clive Delaney forced the ball home at the back post.
It stayed that way for 90 minutes, but the goals continued to flow in extra-time.
Hawkins was credited with getting the final touch to Tony Bird's cross to put St Pat's back in front within two minutes, before Fahey made it 4-2 from a brilliant free kick seven minutes later.
Damien Lynch pulled a goal back with a diving header within a further minute, but St. Pat's held out to win an engrossing match.
