Injury rules Davies out of Spurs team

Simon Davies has been ruled out of Tottenham’s home clash with Everton tomorrow and will miss Wales’ vital Euro 2004 qualifier next week.

The midfielder has missed the last four matches with a hip injury and although Spurs’ caretaker manager David Pleat is happy to let Davies travel to Wales to be assessed on Sunday, he knows he is not yet ready to return to action.
