FA charges over Valley Parade scuffle
Bradford and Preston have been charged with misconduct by the Football Association following an incident in their game at Valley Parade on September 13.
The FA have taken action against the two clubs for failing to ensure the proper behaviour of their players.
A confrontation between Michael Branch and Michael Keane with a minute of the game remaining sparked a 15-man brawl with players separated by both managers and referee Roy Pearson.
Although Branch and Keane were cautioned by Pearson, the FA have decided to take the matter further with Bradford and Preston having until October 8 to answer the charges.
City’s managing director Shaun Harvey says the club will study the video evidence of the incident before deciding whether to ask for a personal hearing.
