St Pat's survive late Derry onslaught

Chris Adamson made two wonder late stops from Gary Beckett and Billy Clery as St Pat's almost threw this game away.

In a madcap first half, Derry came from 2-0 down to go in level at the break.

Clive Delaney headed home from Keith Fahey's corner on 27 minutes for his first goal for Saints.

Peter Hutton then put through his own goal four minutes later to appear to put Saints in control.

Michael Holt gave Derry hope with a stunning volleyed goal on 38 minutes before Beckett drilled past Adamson for the equaliser in first-half stoppage time.
