Mahon relishing new challenge

Ireland international Alan Mahon has revealed his delight at joining Ipswich on a three-month loan from Blackburn.

He said: “Thank God Joe Royle came in for me. Ipswich are a Premiership club and have one of the best managers in the business in Joe Royle. The man’s a legend.
