Beckham scores on league debut

David Beckham continued his footballing fairytale in Spain by scoring within minutes of his league debut for Real Madrid tonight.

The midfielder scored after two minutes of his side’s Primera Liga home encounter with Real Betis.

Beckham tapped home a cross from Brazilian star Ronaldo, thrilling thousands of fans in the Bernabeu stadium.

He already scored in midweek to help Real clinch the Spanish Supercup.

Real Madrid went on to beat Real Betis 2-1, with Ronaldo scoring the second for Madrid.
