McManaman completes City move

Steve McManaman has completed his move to Manchester City from Real Madrid after coming through a medical this morning.

The 31-year-old former England international has become manager Kevin Keegan’s seventh signing since the end of last season and is now reunited with old friend and former Liverpool team-mate Robbie Fowler.

McManaman, who has signed a two-year deal, will not be included in the squad to face Arsenal at the City of Manchester Stadium tomorrow but is expected to make his debut against Aston Villa on September 14.
