Simonsen up for first season game

Goalkeeper Steve Simonsen has come into the Everton side for his first match of the season with Richard Wright out with a knee problem.

But that was manager David Moyes’ only change for the 169th Mersey derby against Liverpool, even though Thomas Gravesen (knee) was fit again and Duncan Ferguson returned from a three-match ban. Both were on the bench.
