St Pat's go top with win in Cork

Cork City 0 St Patrick's Athletic 2

St Pat's went top of the table with a sweet win at Turner's Cross.

Gary McPhee scored on his debut to put St. Pat's in front in first half stoppage time.

Neither Derek Coughlan or Dan Murray dealt with Barry Prenderville's 70-yard ball and McPhee rounded Michael Devine to slide the ball home.

Tony Bird then added the crucial second goal on 72 minutes when starting and finishing a super move to convert Charles Mbabazi Livingstone's cross.
