Keegan set to ring changes

Manchester City boss Kevin Keegan is set to make wholesale changes to his team for the UEFA Cup qualifying round second leg tie with TNS at the Millennium Stadium.

Boasting a 5-0 lead from the opening game, only one of the biggest upsets in the competition’s history will prevent City from taking their place in Friday’s first round draw, so Keegan will use the opportunity to give some of his fringe players a much-needed run-out.

Nicky Weaver comes in for his first start since March 2002, while Danny Tiatto, Gerard Wiekens, Jon Macken and Darren Huckerby are others who can expect to play.

Robbie Fowler (ribs) and Paulo Wanchope (sore leg) are both injured, Antoine Sibierski is suspended, while Michael Tarnat and David Seaman are among those who will be rested.

Provisional squad: Weaver, Ellegaard, Sun, Distin, Sommeil, Dunne, Bischoff, Wiekens, Tiatto, Negouai, Bosvelt, Wright-Phillips, Barton, Berkovic, Sinclair, Anelka, Macken, Huckerby, Jordan.
