Elliott blow for Foxes
Leicester defender Matt Elliott has broken a toe and is likely to be out for at least six weeks.
It is a huge blow for the newly-promoted Foxes, who started their Barclaycard Premiership season with a 2-2 home draw against Southampton on Saturday.
Manager Micky Adams was banking on the experience of Elliott and his new signings to confound the critics and keep the club in the Premiership following their promotion from Nationwide Division One.
Adams told the club’s official website www.lcfc.com: “The toe is definitely broken and it looks as though he will be out for a minimum of six weeks.
“It’s obviously a big blow to us.”
