Ljungberg pulls out of Swedish squad

Arsenal midfielder Fredrik Ljungberg was withdrawn from the Sweden squad for the international with Greece on Wednesday.

The shoulder injury which he suffered in the Community Shield match against Manchester United eight days ago was enough to rule him out of the game in Norrkoping.

Although Ljungberg played in Arsenal’s 2-1 Barclaycard Premiership victory over Everton on Saturday, Sweden co-coaches Lars Lagerback and Tommy Soderberg felt it unnecessary to risk his shoulder in a non-competitive match.
