Injury concerns for Jones and Wolves

Wolves boss Dave Jones has injury concerns ahead of his club’s Premiership debut at Blackburn tomorrow.

Nathan Blake and Shaun Newton both face late tests for an ankle injury and an eye infection respectively.

But Irish international Mark Kennedy (ankle), Joleon Lescott (knee), Kenny Miller (hernia) and George Ndah (knee) are all definitely ruled out of Wolves’ first top-flight match for 19 years.

Steffen Iversen and Jody Craddock are set to start and club captain Paul Butler is expected to retain his place in defence because Isaac Okoronkwo is not considered ready for his Premiership bow.

Provisional squad: Oakes, Irwin, Naylor, Butler, Craddock, Ince, Luzhny, Newton, Cooper, Silas, Rae, Iversen, Blake, Sturridge, Camara, Cameron, Okoronkwo, Ingimarsson, Proudlock, Clingan, Murray.
