Bryan Robson

Captain Marvel for his club and for England, he was a combatative and inspirational leader on the pitch for United after Ron Atkinson signed him from West Brom.

His career was punctuated by injury problems but when fit he was the complete midfielder.

Eric Cantona

The enigmatic Frenchman, almost certainly United’s most influential import, became a cult figure at the club.

Revered for his exploits on the field, he is also remembered for the infamous kung fu kick on a Crystal Palace fans in 1995.

David Beckham
