Souness reprimanded and fined by FA
Blackburn boss Graeme Souness has escaped another touchline ban after a Football Association disciplinary hearing into an altercation with a match official last season.
Souness, who has received two touchline bans in the past 18 months, was effectively given a clean slate for the new season after admitting a charge of improper conduct arising out of his side’s Worthington Cup tie against Wigan last December.
The Blackburn manager was reprimanded by the FA and fined £10,000 (€14,150), as well as being warned as to his future conduct and ordered to pay the costs of the FA Commission hearing at Bolton’s Reebok Stadium today.
