Sunderland striker Kevin Kyle is desperate for a chance to prove that he can become the new Niall Quinn.

The 22-year-old Scot has had to bear the burden of being compared to the legendary Irishman since bursting through from the youth ranks, and is yet to fully make his mark at senior level.
