McCann is Villa bound

Sunderland have accepted a £2.25m (€3.15m) bid from Aston Villa for midfielder Gavin McCann.

McCann, who won his only cap for England in Sven-Goran Eriksson’s first match in charge in a friendly against Spain, could now be on his way back to the Barclaycard Premiership after suffering relegation with the Black Cats last season.
