Fulham take Beasant on trial

Fulham have taken veteran goalkeeper Dave Beasant on trial for their tour of Austria.

The 44-year-old keeper rejected a new deal at Brighton earlier this month after spending the end of last season at the Withdean Stadium.

“Dave has travelled to Austria and Fulham want to take a look at him during games out there,” Beasant’s lawyer Tim Bailey told the BBC Sport website.

“Dave still believes he has something to offer and still believes he can play in the Premiership.”
