Longford make it two in a row
Shamrock Rovers 2 Longford Town 3
Town produced another super display to make it two wins on the spin and climb further up the table.
Rovers went in front on 37 minutes. Shane Robinson's cross in from the right was headed down by Stephen Grant for Tony Grant to head past Mick Dempsey.
But Town equalised within two minutes when Alan Kirby punished a defensive error to shoot home from ten yards.
Brian McGovern then headed Town in front from Kirby's corner on 51 minutes.
Trevor Molloy appeared to have earned Rovers a point when equalising on 80 minutes, but Philip Keogh converted Shane Barrett's cross from the right to win it for Town three minutes later.
